In the interest of FULL DISCLOSURE, it's important to state wight up from that I am ambivilant. Ambivilant about the cup. I loved and admired the cup from Afar for a long time. Since the 1st cup, but I was only an occasional High Times reader and never really knew when it was or when it even become public. I was last in Amsterdam as a 10 year old, part of the - if this is tuesday it must be amsterdam brigade brought on during the heydays of the Ugly american period the 60s. I had no interest in heading back!
Then the "Goddess Cup" caught my eye but I missed Patti Smiths performance!
Then 911 came! And everything changed! ESPECIALLY if you were born and raised in New York City! Things you "always" wanted to do somehow became important again. So, after stumbling upon High Times.com and with less than 3 weeks til Thanksgiving, I bought a ticket, Booked a hotel, obtained a passport , BOUGHT a JUDGES PASS and found myself aboard a KLM Flight to Amsterdam!
That cup I loved! The "Sponsors" took a bath but it was a great intimate approximatly 1200 judges strong cup!
